My Connection with CCAOC:
* I have been part of the CCAOC
team since its inception in 2009

My Personal Story:
* Born in Simcoe, Ontario
* I have four sisters and no brothers.
* My father was born in Ypres Belgium and my mother in Ontario, Canada.
* I am very proud of my Belgium heritage.
* My maiden name was Swaenepoel.
My Family:
* I am married, 14 years to Len, whose personality compliments mine completely.
* We have no children of our own.
* We have a beautiful little boy, which we adopted at the age of 6 months. Now ten years old, Oscar has certainly become “my baby”. Oscar is very smart, understands English very well, but cannot speak it. His doctor is not at all concerned, as he has never met a Domestic Short Haired Tabby that could.
Life's Journeys & Experiences:
* I am a licensed Funeral Director, practicing from 1989-1997, currently holding a valid, inactive license.
* I am a licensed Cemetery Director, 1997-present.
* I have been involved with Rotary International, TERT (Tragic Events Response Team) and the MS Society.
Some Of My Favorite Things:
* Vacation: Twice to Belgium and France, to explore my heritage and World War history.
* Sports: Volleyball and golf…which still needs improvement.
* Music: The 80’s and country.
* Food: Italian, Mexican and Indian.
* Domestic: Gardening, canning, cooking.
* My Cat: Oscar!
